12 Months Old

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... the final monthly photo!

That's right. From now on, I think I'm going to stick to every 3 months. Maybe 6. It depends on how much she grows. If she stays a little squirt, 6 months.

These first few pictures are from Sunday. Camille was enjoying her Scooty Puff Jr toy that my afbff Tanya got her. She didn't really understand that you're supposed to ride it, and she pushed it around for a while. Today, she has done much the same. She also used it as a place to put her blankie.

Cami's Week in Review

It's been a big week for Camille (not as big as next week, though!) Let's recap:

On Friday, she met her Grampa John. He was visiting from Germany. She thought he was the bee's knees! He took us to dinner at a hibachi restaurant, where Camille was a little intimidated by the tableside cooking.

"OMGWTF"

Later, she realized that her Walkin' Wagon can double as a vehicle.

Now if only she had some form of power to enable her vehicle to move... Oh wait, she does. Hint: it's me.

She has learned of the deliciousness of Hamburger Helper.

And her walking has improved by about 150%!

In 6 days, my big girl is going to be one year old! It's bananas how fast this year has gone. I can't wait for her birthday party on Saturday!

I'm Too Crafty for my Pants

My grandma (dad's mom) was a crafty lady. That is, she knew how to knit, crochet, quilt, sew, and the like. She also gardened and played the organ, but neither of those really count as "being crafty." She tried to teach me how to crochet when I was a kid, but it didn't take. That first row of crocheting into the chain is brutal for me now, and as a 10-year-old?

Favre is a Four-Letter Word

Before Camille was born, Jake and I had a conversation about swearing. We decided to stop using doo-doo words when she turned 4 months old.

Now, here she is almost a year old, and I still drop various bombs in her presence. Oops!

I've been successful in my elimination of the minor swear words - shit, damn, ass - from my vocabulary, but the one I just can't stop popping out is the big one: fuck.

11 Months Old

So... I'm the worst blogger ever right now. I completely forgot to post an 11-month photo of Camille! I suck! So here are some ultra-cute, if not belated, pictures of Camille during her eleventh month of life!

These first pictures are of Camille's newest favorite food: fruit in a pouch. When we were in Wyoming visiting Jake's relatives, his Uncle Wayne asked if we'd like to have these fruit pouch things. Lindsey, the little girl they were originally bought for, didn't care much for them, and all the adults who tried them thought they were gross. Jake and I said, "Sure, why not? Give her a fruit pouch."

Wayne got a fruit pouch. Up until this point, Camille had been wary of him. I don't know why, because Wayne and Jake look the same. Wayne also kind of reminds me of my brother, as far as fashion sense goes. I think they'd be great shopping buddies.

Anyway, once Wayne gave Camille a fruit pouch - and she tried it and determined that she loved it - Wayne became her new best friend. When we got home to Utah, we got Camille her own fruit pouches, and she's been having a great relationship with them ever since.
