Good-Bye, January

Jake and I have been keeping track of several things since 2011 began. One of those things is the amount of diapers Camille goes through in a day. We thought it would be cool to know how many diapers she averages.

So, in the month of January, Camille pooped and peed in a total of 133 diapers.

That's a lot of diapers!

That's 4.3 diapers every day.

39 of them were poop-diapers.

94 of them were only full of wee.

P.S. Do yourself a favor and Google image search for "surprised baby face." 99% of these pictures are A-dorable.

January in the Es El See

I have decided that I shall undertake a monthly ritual for this year. I will, at the end of every month, hike up to the hills behind our apartment (our area is known as "Foothill" for a reason), and take a picture of the valley. Then, at the end of the year, I can line up my monthly photos and reminisce n' shit.

The weather was skagtastic today.

More skag.

More ska--- oh wait, that's me.

Me and the beeb.

I'M SO EXCITED TO BE HERE.  :-|

Jake took a pic while I wasn't paying attention.

Who Doesn't Love a Sale?!

I found this website ---> www.totsy.com. From what I can gather, it's a site that offers baby and maternity items for (it claims) up to 70% off retail.

So, I Google image searched "frickin awesome" to find the above image. A bunch of "Sarah Palin for President" pics popped up. Um, I didn't search for "terrifying" or "ridiculous," Google!

I LOVE STUFF FOR CHEAPSIES!

I joined. Let's see if it's as awesome as I hope it is.

Cloche Means Bell

I went to Michael's the other day to get safety eyes for a stuffed animal I made. I got distracted in the yarn section, though, and I forgot to get safety eyes. I did get some yarn, ribbon, and an afghan hook/needle.

As an aside, an afghan needle kind of looks like a combination between a knitting needle and a crochet hook (or just a really really long crochet hook), and has inspired me to create a new term for this type of craft: krochitting.

Anyway, I made another Mongolian Gnome hat.

And with the leftover yarn, I made a cloche.

I didn't finish it, which is why there's a green string hanging under the bow. I had to take a picture fast, before my model got cranky and threw up (hey it's just like being a professional photographer!).

Four Months Old

Camille's newest activities:

She can now roll over. She hasn't mastered it yet, but she can do back to front and front to back.

She can suck on her thumb without poking herself in the eyes!

She can sit by herself... for about 5 seconds. Then she'll fall over, usually right onto her face.

She thinks her feet are the most entertaining things attached to her body.

She thinks it's fun to lift her butt off the changing table when I'm trying to strap a new diaper on.

I'm looking forward to finding out what another month brings!
