Carter's Cuties Contest

My first day of NaNoWriMo went great! I got to my word count a lot faster than expected. Yippee!

Yesterday, Jake and I took Camille to the mall. While we were out, we determined that her supercute little outfit was too small (OMGSHE'SGROWINGOUTOFNEWBORNSTUFFALREADYAAAHHHH), so we went to the Carter's at the mall, where I bought four new outfits for her. They're all SO CUTE! But too big (we got the 3-month size), so she won't grow out of them too fast.

When we checked out, the salesgirl put several promotional thingies in the bag, and when I got home, I checked them out. Two of them are coupons for 20% off (sweeeeeet), and one of them was a little flier advertising the "Carter's Cuties Contest."

I entered Camille. I couldn't help it! I think she's pretty damn cute.

Voting starts on November 24th and ends December 25th. I don't know exactly what the stipulations for voting are, but I think it would be swell for people to vote for Camille. I'll probably re-post the link closer to the actual voting start.

CLICK ME!

Then go to Baby Girl, and type Camille into the search box. Currently, there are seven results when you search for Camille, and my Camille is the second one (the Asian-lookin' baby in the pink dress).

NaNoWriMo

For those of you who don't know what NaNoWriMo is, here's the official website.

For those of you who are too lazy to click the link, here's NaNoWriMo in a nutshell: it stands for National Novel Writing Month, and in order to be a winner, you have to write a 50,000 word novel between November 1st and 30th (that's roughly 1,700 words a day, for you math-minded types).

What does this mean for me? It means for the next thirty days, I'll be furiously tickety-typing away with one hand and bouncing the baby with the other. Camille will probably be so used to the sound of a clacking keyboard by December that she won't even blink when she hears it (right now, it wakes her up and makes her cry).

It also means that this blog might get a little neglected. A little. OK, a lot neglected. 1,700 words a day wouldn't be hard at all if I didn't have the Camilleworm fussing like a... fussmonkey.

So, that's where I might be all next month. But don't worry! I shall return in December, just in time for all kinds of sickeningly adorable holiday baby picture postings!
